Enjoy Thanksgiving at the Ranch

Sometimes a season ends before we make the most of it. If this fall's hunting season escaped you then follow in the Pilgrims' footsteps and take time to give thanks.

Spend Thanksgiving with your family at The High Lonesome Ranch.

Out here on the Western Slope you and your family can enjoy some quality time together. We have a wide variety of outdoor activities, and there is something for everyone. How about a walk-up bird hunt for five different game birds or a horseback ride with a sampling of local wines and cheeses? Make unforgettable memories with an evening horse-drawn wagon ride. When the evening chill sets in, curl up under a wool blanket until we build a roaring fire and drink hot cider followed by appetizers.

Start Thanksgiving morning with a traditional Turkey Shoot. There's no shortage of fun and prizes are awarded to the winners. Afterwards enjoy a cooking demonstration with Executive Chef Jordan Asher who will show you how to prepare the most exquisite Thanksgiving meal you've ever tasted. (He may even upstage Grandma's favorite family recipes, but you be the judge.)

The High Lonesome Ranch is a place where sporting passions and family life overlap and afford sportsmen the best of both worlds. And without question that is truly one reason to offer thanks.
Available dates: November 20-30

Spend Christmas with Us

Holidays have one thing in common: warmth. It's the warmth that comes from spending time with people you love. Or the warmth that comes from a child's smiling face. Fireplaces, candles, and the sweet smell of cookies baking in a hot oven. Hot chocolate. Wool sweaters and boots. Home doesn't always have to be at your house. It's where you and your family find warmth together.

We invite you to spend this special time of the year with us at The High Lonesome Ranch. Celebrate some of your own Christmas traditions and allow us to share in some of ours. Trim a freshly cut Christmas tree, build gingerbread houses from scratch, and hear how our forebears celebrated this most wonderful time of the year in Colorado past.

Spend a day walking around historic Aspen or soaking in 90-degree mineral water in the thermal cure at Glenwood Springs. Work off those extra calories by skiing, snowshoeing, or walking behind a champion bird dog. There are many activities to choose from.

At The High Lonesome Ranch we worry about the details so that you won't have to. This Christmas, come and enjoy our warmth. Make this Christmas unforgettable.
Available dates: December 19-26 (4 nights minimum)
